Welcome to the Faith & Freedom Africa (FFA) online micro-course – an interactive media-based resource for equipping Africans to support freedom of religion or belief (FORB).
African leaders and FORB advocates, including lawyers and scholars, were filmed sharing their experience and insights from their respective contexts. Then, film producers interwove throughout the interviews the story of a young Nigerian woman and her family who overcome religious prejudice and experience the benefits of religious freedom in their workplace and community.
Although the drama films are set in the Nigerian context and feature Nigerian actors and commentators, the FFA online micro-course is a resource for encouraging awareness of and support for FORB throughout Africa and further afield. Nigeria is only one among several African countries where individuals and communities are facing FORB violations.
To start the course, click on the ‘Login to Enroll’ button to the right. After having started the course, you can log out at any time and resume at your leisure.
Each of the 4 course lessons has a set of reflection questions. You do not need to answer these questions to receive your certificate of completion. We encourage you, however, to engage with the questions and share them with a family member, friend, or colleague. Start a conversation about the status of FORB in your family, community, or country.
